History is FUN and the Lebanon Historical Society vacation, summer and after-schoolprograms convince dozens of children of this every year.  Program topics and time vary, but every program provides a chance for children to explore an aspect of the past, try a period craft activity and develop new interest and skills.

Recent program topics have included:

Genealogy and family trees

Textiles and Fiber crafts
Map reading and drawing
Exploring a historic cemetery

Programs in the planning stages for the next several years include:

A Girl’s Life in 1750

Stories Hidden in Objects
A Girl’s Life in 1800
The Art of Valentine Making

Programs are listed on the Historical Society website Calendar of Events several weeks in advance.  For information about a specific program, costs, or schedule, please or call 860-642-6579.
