Join us at the Lebanon Historical Society on Saturday, February 17, 2026, 6:00 to 9:00 pm
This weekend Jupiter will at its brightest and come its closest to earth for 2026. We’ll check out the 4 Galilean Moons and perhaps the Great Red Spot. Saturn will also be up in the early evening. We’ll also look for Neptune and Uranus and some deep sky objects as it will be a moonless night. The fun begins at 6 pm and lasts until we get too cold or 9 pm, whichever comes first. Be sure to dress warmly – hats, mittens, warm coats – and don’t forget warm socks and shoes. Bring your astronomical questions and we will try and answer them. We’ll have a space inside the Historical Society for restrooms and a place warm up. There will be hot cocoa and some inside activities as well. This event is for all ages and is free. Please do not bring any pets.
This is a free family event
