Volunteer Opportunities

Becoming a Volunteer

Would you like to get involved with the Museum? Do you have an interest in history? Have you ever wanted to try teaching, researching or developing a program? Consider volunteering at the Lebanon Historical Society Museum.

Scouts and students can pursue community service and school project experiences. Eagle Scout or Silver and Gold Girl Scout Award projects can be arranged.

Try your hand at research or transcription in our library. Brainstorm new ideas for programs or share your artistic abilities.

Many hands make light work and every task is more fun with a group to share conversation.  Our volunteers are friendly hard-working folks who are eager to welcome new-comers.  Whether you have an hour or two a month available, just want to help with one program a year or are looking for an opportunity every week, we have lots of volunteer opportunities to offer.

Contact our staff for more information.

In recent years volunteers have helped with:

  • Gardening
  • Refreshments
  • Program Greeter
  • Special Events
  • School Programs
  • Brainstorming ideas for programs and events
  • Exhibit Installation
  • Antique Show
  • Docent
  • Research Projects
  • Short-term projects

If you have an idea of your own about what you’d like to do, just let us know about it. We’ll happily see how to fit your interests with our needs.
