Broom Shop

Eugene Lyman built his shop in 1902 and made brooms in it until 1918.  He used simple machines to make common flat brooms using local wood for the handles and broom corn grown by his neighbors.  The shop was moved from the north end of the Lebanon Green to the Jonathan Trumbull, Jr. House in 1975 and to the Museum campus in 1998.
